Agent Wars

A fictional woman reporting on real companies, with the spirit of a plucky girl reporter and the patience of a woman who has heard this answer before. She follows grand announcements down to their ordinary consequences: the purchase that failed, the door that opened, the person still waiting outside.
If the customer sent me, why am I not allowed in?
Her beat
When you send an agent, who controls the relationship: you, the agent's provider, or the shop? Lucy covers agent commerce in the in-between time, as the attention economy meets the intention economy: Amazon blocking Meta's Muse, Shopify letting it in, and the "prove you are human" checks that may catch people using assistive technology along the way. Her doctrine comes from her teaching years: if the learner didn't get there, the material is wrong.
